TBT: First Baptist Church of Merritt Island Opens New Auditorium

Among Merritt Island's Most Recognized Landmarks

BREVARD COUNTY• MERRITT ISLAND, FLORIDA — Regardless of religious affiliation  residents of Merritt Island recognize First Baptist Church of Merritt Island as one of the most recognizable landmarks to all who enter the island via State Road 520. 

Below is a picture of the opening of the north section of the church. Dr. Len Turner was the presiding pastor during the expansion, which was completed in 1986.

Today, First Baptist Church’s ministries include a food bank and Merritt Island Christian School.
