The inaugural men’s soccer team, which has a 6-1 record, is ranked eighth in both the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) and NJCAA Division I polls.

The women’s soccer team, which is 5-2-1, is ranked eighth by the NSCAA and 11th by the NJCAA.

And golf, which has two top-seven tournament finishes this fall, is ranked eighth in the Golf World/Nike Golf NJCAA Division I poll.

“I am very excited about three of our teams being nationally ranked at the same time,” said Eastern Florida Athletic Director Jeff Carr who doubles as head women’s soccer coach.

“I would imagine this has never happened before in our athletic history. It is a testament to our student-athletes and our coaches and the support of our administration and staff.”

Women’s soccer finished the 2012 season as the NJCAA Division I runner-up in its first national tournament appearance while golf finished fifth in its 11th consecutive trip to the NJCAA national tournament.

For the 2012-13 seasons five of Eastern Florida’s then seven teams qualified for postseason competition. Eastern Florida now has nine teams, the most of an NJCAA institution in Florida.
