Eastern Florida State College Men’s Tennis Team Named FCSAA Small Academic Team of the Year

BREVARD COUNTY • FLORIDA — The Eastern Florida State College men’s tennis team was named the Florida College System Activities Association Male Academic Team of the year for small programs on Thursday.

The Titans tennis team, comprising Johan Mottlau, Filip Sormaz, Salva Serradilla, Alberto Perez Mellado, Tomas Kurz Cardozo, Konstantin Kukaras, Pablo Garcia Rodriguez, Zakaria Achour, and Alexandr Achour, finished the year with a team GPA of 3.35.

The team went to the NJCAA Division I National Tournament in Florence, South Carolina and finished sixth overall in the nation.

All awards were voted on by the Council for Athletic Affairs’ Executive Board.
