Doctors’ Goodwill Expo Raises Funds For Scholarships

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – The 11th annual Doctors’ Goodwill Foundation Doctor’s Expo and Banquet attracted more than 200 local physicians and health care practitioners.
Attendees took classes, met with exhibitors, networked and enjoyed the evening Gala.
“Our goal this year is focused on philanthropy and awarding scholarships,” said Dr. Kantilal Bhalani, Founder of Doctors’ Goodwill Foundation.
“We are so happy to have 32 sponsors this year as they interact with all the nurses and physicians. We are also proud to have 100 physicians, 40 nurses and 40 pharmacists earning continuing medical education credits at this year’s Expo.”
Doctors’ Goodwill Foundation corporate partnerships include:
Association of American Physicians Inc., Brevard County Health Department Brevard County Pharmacy Association, Brevard Physicians Network, Brevard Medical Society, Central Florida Physicians of Indian Origin, First Choice Medical Group, Health First, Hospice of St. Francis, Indian American Chamber of Commerce, NASA, Palm Cottages, Parrish Medical Center, Space Coast Cancer Center, Space Coast Medicine & Active Living, The Doctors Company, VITAS, UCF College of Medicine, Walgreens and Wuesthoff Medical Center.
Among the exhibitors were Health First, Sea Pines, Space Coast Cancer Center, Gentiva, Parrish Medical Center, Central Florida Home Health, My MedWALL and the Brevard County Health Department.
The Doctors’ Goodwill Foundation offered continuing education credits and provides free healthcare to those in need.
“During the past 11 years, we have helped thousands throughout the world, including those in disaster areas in the United States, and also organizations and people in need in our community,” said Dr. Bhalani, Doctors’ Goodwill Foundation Founder.
Dr. Bhalani announced that the organizations’s Fall’s upcoming Doctors’ Goodwill Foundation Dinner Gala will be held in Melbourne on Nov. 8 as part of Space Coast Medicine Week.
The Foundation is a non-profit charitable organization founded in 2003. It is a coalition of doctors, nurses, pharmacists and allied health workers who have joined forces to improve the health care system.
Their first medical mission was a 2004 trip to Tibet. Since then, the Foundation has organized medical camps in Tanzania, Brazil, New Orleans, and Indonesia and Costa Rica.
To help those who wish to further their education in healthcare, the foundation has awarded more than 60 scholarships.
The DGF is led by some of the most active and philanthropically-minded members of the Brevard medical community, including executive officers Founder Kantilal Bhalani MD (founder), Executive Director Naren Shah, MS, SCORE, Treasurer Kiran Modi, MD, Chairperson Sumant Pandya, MD and Secretary Denis Perez, MD.
