2014 World Cup Group A Game 1 Preview Brazil vs. Croatia
RIO DE JANIERO, BRAZIL – With the eyes around the globe watching, Brazil’s national soccer team will begin its quest to the World Cup championship against Croatia.
For Brazil, the back line of David Luiz anchors one of the strongest defensive units in the tournament. On offense, Brazil is led by international superstar, Neymar da Silva Santos Júnior, commonly known as Neymar, and midfielder José Paulo Bezerra Maciel Júnior, commonly known as Paulinho.
Nearly every player on Brazil’s 23-man roster plays for a Champions-leage club.
Croatia’s offense will need an exceptional offensive performances from Midfielders Ivan Rakitic, Luke Mordic and forward Mario Mandzukic to upset the host nation.
