ABOVE VIDEO: United Launch Alliance electrical engineer Dan Kovach lost 50 pounds, and his successful strategy for keeping the weight off has been enjoying ballroom dancing with his wife Donna. Exercise is a big part of his daily routine and the couple have been ballroom dancing for four years now. Over the past 10 years, Kovach noticed that his middle finger was contracting inward and it became uncomfortable and awkward and lacked motion and was getting slowly worse.

Dupuytren's contracture is a hand deformity that usually develops slowly, over years. Dupuytren's contracture affects a layer of tissue that lies under the skin of your palm. Knots of tissue form under the skin — eventually forming a thick cord that can pull one or more of your fingers into a bent position.

“I sought help and came across Dr. Moyles of First Choice Medical Group as a specialist in the field,” said Kovach. “Dr. Moyles diagnosed my problem as Dupuytren’s contracture and worked with me towards a solution. Our choices were surgery, which often does not permanently solve the problem, or through the use of injectables.

“First Choice Medical Group’s Helena worked very well with me to maximize my insurance coverage and the drug company also assisted to make it very affordable.

“Dr. Moyles is a wonderful person and the whole First Choice Medical Group office are super to work with. They are always on time and made me feel comfortable. We can talk freely  and develop a personal relationship with the staff. They are compassionate great listeners.”
