Eastern Florida State Foundation Elects New Officers

Established in 1971, the Eastern Florida State College Foundation, Inc. is a Direct Support Organization of Eastern Florida State College and is a 501(c)(3) Not-for-Profit Organization. Funds raised on behalf of the Foundation benefit EFSC students.

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – The Eastern Florida State College Foundation, Inc. recently elected its new officers and approved its Board of Directors for 2014-2015.

EASTER-FLORIDA-BOARD-2014-388-1The officers and executive committee members were approved by unanimous vote at a recent meeting of the EFSC Board of Trustees meeting.

Board members include Chair, Summit Shah, Southeast Petro Dist. Inc.; Vice-Chair, Troy Lotane, Vance Lotane & Bookhardt, P.A.; Treasurer, Lisa Cullen, Brevard County Tax Collector; Immediate past Chair, Bernard Simpkins, S&S Enterprises, Inc.; Dale Coxwell, Coastal Steel, Inc.; Dr. Richard DiPatri, retired, Brevard Public Schools; Joseph Felkner, Health First, Inc.; Moses Harvin, Sr., American Services Technology, Inc.; Sheriff Wayne Ivey, Brevard County Sheriff’s Office; Dr. Maxwell C. King, community volunteer; Steve Lathem, Lathem Automotive Group; and Susie Wasdin, Cocoa Village Group, LLA./Wasdin Associates, Inc.

Myra Haley, an Eastern Florida State College Board of Trustees member, will continue her service as liaison to the Foundation Board.

College President Dr. Jim Richey will also continue to serve on the Board.

Funds raised on behalf of the Foundation benefit EFSC students.

“The Foundation is the vehicle through which individuals, corporations and other supporters contribute to the College’s educational programs and student scholarships.

The Brevard College Foundation, Inc. funds are kept separate from, and are managed by, Eastern Florida State College. Endowed funds are invested in partnership with, and are managed by, Merrill Lynch. The Foundation is audited annually by Hoyman Dobson.
