BREVARD COUNTY • COCOA, FLORIDA — The Supply Zone for Teachers, a service of Brevard Schools Foundation, will host the 23rd Annual Back-to-School Blast-Off on Saturday, July 19, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., or until supplies run out, at the Clearlake Education Center in Cocoa.
This community giveaway event will provide free backpacks, school supplies, books, dental kits, hygiene products, and other essentials to the first 2,000 students in need of assistance in Brevard Public Schools.
“Many families struggle to afford the long list of supplies their children need to be prepared for school,” said Janice Kershaw, President and CEO of Brevard Schools Foundation.
“Our goal is to remove that barrier and ensure that every student has a strong, confident start to the new school year.”
To qualify for supplies, students must:
● Be enrolled in Brevard Public Schools
● Qualify for the Free or Reduced Lunch Program
● Be present at the event—no exceptions
Local organizations and volunteers will be available to provide support and resources to students and their families.
“The Blast-Off is more than a giveaway—it’s a launchpad for success,” said Pam Lyons, Program Coordinator for the Supply Zone. “We want every student in Brevard Public Schools to feel ready, supported, and excited to go back to school.”
The event is made possible thanks to generous donations and partnerships with local businesses, civic groups, faith organizations, and volunteers across the county.

Brevard Schools Foundation is also seeking sponsors and community partners to host Supply Drives now through August 11. These donations help restock the Supply Zone after the Blast-Off event and provide critical supplies to students in need throughout the school year.
Supply Drives can be open to the public or internal to your organization or business. To host a drive or learn more, email info.supplyzone@brevardschools.org. For more information about or to support Brevard Schools Foundation, visit www.brevardschoolsfoundation.org.
