WASHINGTON DC — Congressman Bill Posey (R-Rockledge) provided Space Coast Daily with the following statement regarding the current illegal immigration crisis:
I am deeply concerned that the illegal immigration crisis on our southern border has spiraled out-of-control,” said Congressman Bill Posey. “This is what happens when you debate ideas like amnesty and immigration reform before you secure the border.
“Several months ago I visited the border station in Nogales, Arizona and observed firsthand how insecure our border is. For anyone to suggest the border is secure flies in the face of reality. Furthermore, I have read the Senate’s immigration bill and it is more complicated than the health care bill, will take years to implement and according to the Congressional Budget Office will result in 5 million more illegal immigrants a decade from now.”
