Ross E.G. Thompson, Jr. Passes Away August 25

OBITUARY
BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA — Ross E.G. Thompson, Jr., retired U.S. Army Signal Corps LTC, died August 25, 2014 at the age of 80.
He is survived by Anne, his wife of 52 years, his daughter Theresa Thompson, son and daughter in-law Eric and Rose Thompson, and daughter and son in-law Ron and Valerie Hunter and their children Madeline and Blake.
He graduated from Georgia Tech with a B.S. in engineering and earned a M.A. in management from American Tech. University. LTC Thompson served at posts in Korea, Vietnam, Ethiopia and Kwajalein, as well as Ft. Monmouth and Ft. Hood.
He later worked for aerospace programs at Patrick AFB and Cape Canaveral. He was active in his parish, and a licensed amateur radio operator. A memorial service will be held at St. Paul’s Anglican Church in Melbourne at 2 p.m. on Friday, August 29.
