BREVARD COUNTY • PALM BAY, FLORIDA – Palm Bay Police Detectives are currently attempting to identify a suspect involved in an armed robbery on September 2.

Just after 10 p.m. on Tuesday patrol officers responded to the Circle K at 2290 Harris Avenue NE after the female clerk called police to report a robbery at the store.

The victim told police the suspect was a black male, approximately 6-feet tall with a thin build. He was wearing a gray hooded jacket, khaki pants and gloves that were showing from his pants pockets. He also wore a mask, and sunglasses to cover his face.

The suspect is seen on the store surveillance video following the clerk into a cooler where he then threatened her with a knife.

The victim said he demanded she open the cash registers and give him all the money inside. The suspect also stole scratch off lottery tickets and cigarettes before fleeing. He was in the store for less than two minutes.

Patrol officers immediately set up a perimeter and a K9 track led to an apartment complex across the street.

A gray hoodie was found near the clubhouse of the apartment complex and the K9 track stopped in front of one of the units.

The occupants were cooperative but the suspect was not located.

“It’s possible he got into a vehicle from there and fled the area,” said Detective Clark Marrs. “We’re hoping someone is able to look at the surveillance images and help us identify this individual.”
