BREVARD COUNTY • ROCKLEDGE, FLORIDA – Earlier this week, I had the pleasure of attending a fundraiser for “Rock For Julie” to benefit the upcoming St. Baldrick’s event to raise money for research to stop Childhood Cancer.

The “Rock For Julie” Team is comprised of members of the City of Rockledge Leadership Team, employees, and citizens who have joined together for a friendly competition against the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office St. Baldrick’s Team to see who can raise the most money to help benefit this great cause. Julie Spurlock was recently diagnosed with Pre B Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia and is undergoing treatments for her condition.

In her honor the City of Rockledge created their team to participate in the St. Baldrick’s Event where participates shave their heads to raise money for research and awareness.

The “Rock For Julie” Team is comprised of members of the City of Rockledge Leadership Team, employees, and citizens who have joined together for a friendly competition against the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office St. Baldrick’s Team to see who can raise the most money to help benefit this great cause.

Our Sheriff’s Office team always participates heavily in the annual event and is usually one of the top fundraising teams along with Brevard County Fire Rescue.
