25-year-old Christine Hill IN SERIOUS CONDITION

BREVARD COUNTY • PALM BAY – The investigation into a head-on vehicle crash that involved a Brevard County school bus is continuing, and the driver of the vehicle that caused the crash is identified as 25-year-old Christine Hill.

According to Yvonne Martinez, Palm Bay Public Information Coordinator, Hill is in the hospital with serious injuries.

At approximately 3 p.m. Friday, patrol officers responded to the area of Emerson Drive near the intersection of Lexington Drive after reports of a head-on collision with a school bus.

According to witnesses, the driver of a red 2008 Ford Fusion traveling about 35 mph southbound on Emerson Drive, veered into the northbound lane and hit the bus which was traveling about 20 mph.

The school bus was occupied by four children and two adults. They were not injured.

Hill was transported and admitted to Holmes Regional Medical Center with serious bodily injuries.

According to Martinez, it is possible Hill may have been under the influence of drugs and could face criminal charges pending the results of blood analysis.

The school bus was coming from Lockmar Elementary and was in the process of dropping off the students.
