Health First Selects Bill Calhoun As Community Hospitals President

Will Oversee Operations, Development of Health First’s Three Community Hospitals
BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Health First is pleased to announce Bill Calhoun as the new President, Community Hospitals for Health First.
He oversees the operations and development of Health First’s three community hospitals (Cape Canaveral Hospital, Palm Bay Hospital and Viera Hospital).
Calhoun most recently served as Regional Vice President at Affinity Health System in Wisconsin where he was accountable for three hospitals and more than 270 providers. At Affinity Health System, he was instrumental in improving multiple service lines such as Cardiology, Cancer and Orthopedics.
His areas received multiple awards of distinction and enjoyed financial stability throughout his time. He also was the Senior Vice President/Chief Operating Officer of The Aroostook Medical Center in Maine.
Calhoun also worked for Howard Young Health Care in Wisconsin where he started as an Occupational Therapist, Supervisor of Occupational Therapy, Director of Emergency and Rehabilitation services and finally Vice President of Ancillary & Support Services.
Calhoun has his Master’s of Business Administration from the University of Wisconsin and a Business Certificate in Health Care Administration. Throughout his career, he has served many community organizations. In 2010, he was presented with the President’s Promise Award by the Affinity Health System and the Best of the Best Administrative Award from Partners of WHA.
