The Brevard County Medical Society is a professional and scientific organization of medical and osteopathic physicians in Brevard County, Florida that was established in 1904.

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – The Brevard County Medical Society will gather on Thursday, March 5 at the Holiday Inn in Viera to install new officers, and bring their members and guests up to date information from the health care industry.

Incoming Brevard County Medical Society President Dr. Devin Datta, an orthopaedic and spine surgeon, will talk about the BMS’s rich history, advantages of membership and dedication to the community for more than a century.

Secretary Dr. Kyle Moyles of Melbourne-based First Choice Medical Group will highlight the Florida Medical Association’s recent activities.

The FMA represents more than 20,000 physicians on issues of legislation and regulatory affairs, medical economics and education, public health and ethical and legal issues.

The organization, which was founded in 1974, advocates for physicians and their patients to promote the public health, ensure the highest standards of medical practice, and to enhance the quality and availability of health care in the Sunshine State.

The meet and greet will begin at 6 p.m. and the dinner program, which will feature a Persian theme, will start at 7 p.m.

The Honorable Judge A.B. Majeed will conduct the installation of the 2015 Brevard County Medical Society officers.
