BREVARD COUNTY • PORT CANAVERAL, FLORIDA — The Pink Ribbon Walk/5k at Port Canaveral will be held Saturday, Oct. 3 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. in The Cove at Port Canaveral.
This is a unique, family-oriented event benefiting Space Coast Cancer Foundation and more than 2,000 people are expected to participate.
Come out and enjoy a day full of family fun, walk for a cause in the Pink Ribbon Walk, shop the local vendors, enjoy food from a variety of food trucks, participate in the exciting Bed and Bathtub Race and try your skills at the Peel And Eat Shrimp Eating Contest – all while the kids are having fun in the Kids Zone.
A new addition to this year’s event will be the 5K run organized by The Running Zone and Pink Ribbon Challenge Course, an obstacle-style course allowing “Survivors” an opportunity to compete.
A $25 donation per walker is all it takes to be part of this great cause.
The route will take walkers and runners through several waterfront properties and return them to The Cove for a spectacular celebration.
The funds raised from the event will stay in Brevard County to aid patients undergoing treatment, educating the public and for Cancer research through Space Coast Cancer Foundation.
