Cocoa Police Seek Lee Wenner Park Car Burglars

THIEVES hit Six separate vehicles

BREVARD COUNTY • COCOA, FLORIDA – Six vehicles parked at Lee Wenner Park in downtown Cocoa were broken into on Sunday, according to Officer Barbara Matthews of the Cocoa Police Department.

The break-ins were reported after 3 p.m. this afternoon.

“The park was crowded today with many people using the boat ramp at the park as well as large crowds in the area for the downtown art show,” said Matthews.

“Six separate vehicles had some type of tool used in one of the locks of the vehicle to get the door open.”

Owners told police that items like sunglasses and change were taken, and no other damage was reported to the vehicles.
