NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – The approach of an upper level system to our north has shifted winds out of the south-southwest, which will bring more moisture across Florida and better rain chances across the region and Brevard today.

We will see both the east and west coast sea breezes developing and moving inland by early afternoon with the prevailing flow pushing the west coast breeze more quickly inland.

A few strong storms will be possible, especially with the collision of the east and west coast sea breezes during the evening hours.

Wind gusts of 50 mph, small hail, frequent lightning and torrential downpours will be possible with stronger storms.
