BCSO Investigates Traffic Fatality In Cape Canaveral, Identifies Victim

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – The Brevard County Sheriff’s Office has identified 68-year-old Linda Sanderson of Cape Canaveral as the pedestrian killed Sunday night at about 8 p.m. at the intersection N. Atlantic and Hayes Avenue in Cape Canaveral.

Sanderson was transported for medical treatment in critical condition, where she later succumbed to the injuries she sustained, according to Cpl. Dave Jacobs of the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office.

The Brevard County Sheriff’s Office is now investigating the incident, and the identity of the driver is not being released at this time.

“Although this is an ongoing investigation, based on the preliminary findings, there are presently no charges pending,” said to Cpl. Jacobs in a release.
