19-Year Old Child Porn Suspect Charged With 12 Counts, More Pending

BREVARD COUNTY • MALABAR, FLORIDA – The Brevard County Sheriff’s Office arrested 19-year-old Joshua Alan Shaver of Malabar, on Friday, after serving a search warrant at his home.

The investigation was initiated after Sheriff’s agents received information that Shaver may be involved in child pornography.

Agents obtained a search warrant for his residence, which resulted in the seizure of evidence related to the possession of child pornography, according to Cpl. Dave Jacobs of the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office.

Shaver was charged with 12 counts of possessing material depicting sexual conduct by a child and is being held at the Brevard County jail with a $420k bond.

The evidence seized is being forensically reviewed with additional charges pending. Shaver is suspected of producing the images, which may indicate there are possible victims, according to authorities.
