Yet Its Massive Weight is not a Florida Record

"The KVJ Morning Show" on South Florida radio station WRMF (97.9 FM) shared this image on Facebook of a bull gator recently captured that apparently had been chowing down on cattle on a ranch in Okeechobee. Although mammoth in size, its not the heaviest gator ever harvested in the state. That distinction belongs to a 1,043-pounder caught in Orange Lake in Alachua County, according to the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission.
