Brevard Fire Rescue Fights Fire At Daignault Realty Courtenay Parkway On Merritt Island

BREVARD COUNTY • MERRITT ISLAND, FLORIDA – Brevard County Fire Rescue crews responded to a commercial structure fire at at Daignault Realty on N. Courtenay Parkway in Merritt Island on Friday night about 11:30 p.m.
BCFR units were assisted by the Cape Canaveral Fire Department.
According to BCFR, the fire was in the attic and went through the roof. Crews were unable to locate the source of fire upon arrival due to low visibility and heavy heat, which forced BCFR to pull crews out of the building and use defensive operations.
Firefighting activities closed roads between State Road 520 and Merritt Avenue.
The cause of the fire is unknown at this time and there was no injuries reported.
