POLICE: Man Arrested For Damaging Cars, Tried Biting An Officer and Licking A Man’s Face

PORTLAND, OREGON (KATU) – Police arrested Matthew Medlin Tuesday they say tried to bite an officer, jumped on a police car and licked a man’s face.
According to police, they were called to Southeast 9th Avenue and Sandy Boulevard a little after 3:30 p.m. on a report a man was assaulting a woman.
When police arrived, the man took off, climbed a tree, jumped on a police car and then fled into a restaurant. Police said employees of the restaurant were able to get the man out of their kitchen.
After a struggle police said they got the man on the ground, but not before he tried to bite a police officer.
Police said the suspect also damaged three other vehicles, attacked a man and licked his face.
