URGENT – FIRE WEATHER MESSAGE…RED FLAG WARNING IN EFFECT FROM 10 AM TO 8 PM EDT FRIDAY FOR LOW RELATIVE HUMIDITY, STRONG WINDS, AND HIGH ERC VALUES FOR ALL OF EAST CENTRAL FLORIDA.

The National Weather Service in Melbourne has issued a Red Flag Warning, which is in effect from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. EDT Friday.

• AFFECTED AREA…ALL OF EAST CENTRAL FLORIDA.

• WIND…WEST TO NORTHWEST 15 TO 20 MPH AND GUSTY.

• HUMIDITY…DROPPING TO BETWEEN 20 AND 30 PERCENT FOR SEVERAL HOURS.

• IMPACTS…ANY FIRES THAT DEVELOP WILL LIKELY SPREAD RAPIDLY. OUTDOOR BURNING IS NOT RECOMMENDED.
