SURVEILLANCE FOOTAGE: Cocoa Police Seek Community’s Help In Identifying, Locating Homicide Suspect

BREVARD COUNTY • COCOA, FLORIDA – Cocoa Police Detectives are seeking public assistance in identifying a suspect wanted in connection with a homicide that happened on Wednesday at the Dixie Motel in Cocoa.

Police describe the suspect as a white male in his early to mid-twenties, dark hair, short goatee style facial hair and average build.

The suspect was last seen on security video wearing a black short sleeve button down shirt, loose fitting blue jeans and black shoes.

Detectives believe he may have fled to South Florida in the Hialeah area with the victim’s vehicle, according to Yvonne Martinez of the Cocoa Police Department.

Cocoa Police Detectives are seeking public assistance in identifying a suspect wanted in connection with a homicide that happened on Wednesday at the Dixie Motel in Cocoa.

Police say on Wednesday, just after 11 a.m., dispatchers received a 911 call from an employee who found a dead body in room 216 of the Dixie Motel on 301 Forrest Ave. in Cocoa.

When officers and detectives arrived, they determined the deceased man was the victim of a homicide.

The homicide victim has been identified as Terry Scott Hilliard, 65, from Ocala.

The investigation has since revealed Hilliard arrived at the motel on Tuesday at approximately 5 p.m., where he was accompanied by a younger man.

Detectives are currently working with the victim’s family and agents with the Florida Department of Law Enforcement in an attempt to identify the suspect and gather evidence in this ongoing investigation.

Callers will remain anonymous and can be eligible for cash rewards of up to $5,000 in this case.
