Rockledge Man, 24, Killed in Motorcycle Crash On I-95 South of State Road 520

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – The Florida Highway Patrol reported that a yet-to-be-identified Rockledge man was killed in a motorcycle crash on Interstate-95 at about 1 a.m. Sunday morning.
According to Florida Highway Patrol Public Information Officer Kim Montes, the 24-year-old victim was riding a 2017 Harley-Davidson motorcycle when his motorcycle collided with a semi-truck on I-95 south of State Road 520.
Sgt. Montes said that the motorcyclist and the semi-truck were traveling southbound on I-95, with the motorcycle behind the truck.
For an unknown reason, the motorcycle failed to slow as the truck approached and hit the rear of the trailer.
The motorcyclist was ejected and died at the scene, according to Sgt. Montes. The victim was wearing a helmet.
This crash remains under investigation.
