Verne Troyer, the actor who played “Mini Me” in the “Austin Powers” movie trilogy passed away at age 49.
The announcement reported on Troyer’s Instagram account on Saturday afternoon did not include a cause of death.
“It is with great sadness and incredibly heavy hearts to write that Verne passed away today,” said a post to Troyer’s Instagram account said.
“Over the years he’s struggled and won, struggled and won, struggled and fought some more, but unfortunately this time was too much,” the post continued.
