Space Coast Daily, In Association With Melbourne Regional Chamber of Commerce, To Present Candidate Forum June 12

Space Coast Daily, in association with the Melbourne Regional Chamber of Commerce, will present a candidate forum on Tuesday, June 12 at the Holiday Inn Melbourne –Viera Hotel & Convention Center, in which political candidates from all races affecting Brevard County are invited to participate.

BREVARD COUNTY • VIERA, FLORIDA – Space Coast Daily, in association with the Melbourne Regional Chamber of Commerce, will present a candidate forum on Tuesday, June 12 at the Holiday Inn Melbourne – Viera Hotel & Convention Center, in which political candidates from all races affecting Brevard County are invited to participate. 

The Holiday Inn Melbourne – Viera Hotel & Convention Center is located at 8298 N. Wickham Road. Admission to the forum, which will begin at 11 a.m. on June 12, is open and free to the public.

The event is also sponsored by The Home Builders & Contractors Association of Brevard. The HBCA is a professional, non-profit trade association, dedicated to the attainment of the “American Dream” of quality, affordable homeownership.

The organization is actively involved in local, state, and national legislative issues affecting the industry, and is committed to providing educational and marketing opportunities to its members and to our community.

This candidate forum, which will kick off the 2018 political campaigning season, will provide all registered candidates an unbiased, non-partisan venue that will be broadcast live and also available for replay viewing on Space Coast Daily TV at Space Coast Daily.com

The Space Coast Daily Candidate Forum is also sponsored by The Home Builders & Contractors Association of Brevard. The HBCA is a professional, non-profit trade association, dedicated to the attainment of the “American Dream” of quality, affordable homeownership.

Mike Haridopolos will serve as the moderator for the Space Coast Daily Political Forum.

One of Florida’s best political minds, Haridopolos, served as the President of the Florida Senate from 2010-2012 and in the Florida House of Representatives from 2000-2003,

The format provides for each candidate to have a two-minute opening statement. The moderator will then ask questions, of which each candidate will have an opportunity to answer. The questions will not be known in advance.

Following the questions to the candidates from the moderator, each candidate will be allowed to ask any one of their opponents a single question, of which the candidate will have two minutes to answer and then the candidate who asked the question will have one minute for a rebuttal.

Political candidates who wish to participate must be registered and qualified with the Brevard County Supervisor of Elections for this election cycle.

Candidates can register for the forum by e-mailing Space Coast Daily Political Forum at contact@spacecoastdaily.com. Once the request for participation has been received, the candidate will receive a return e-mail stating they are registered.

The 2018 Primary Election will be held on August 28 and the 2018 General Election will be held on November 6.

Former Florida Senate President Mike Haridopolos will serve as the moderator for the Space Coast Daily Candidate Forum set Tuesday, June 12 at the Holiday Inn Melbourne – Viera Hotel & Convention Center.
