BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA — Brevard County Fire Rescue has officially welcomed a new group of first responders into its ranks, celebrating the graduation of Recruit Class 26-01 after completing an intensive 10-week orientation and training program.
Family members, friends, and department leaders gathered to recognize the recruits’ accomplishments as they completed the program and prepared to begin serving residents across Brevard County.
The graduates now join the department as firefighters and paramedics, ready to respond to emergencies and provide critical lifesaving services throughout the community.
Department officials congratulated the class in a social media announcement, praising the recruits for their dedication and commitment during the rigorous training process.
“Congratulations, Recruit Class 26-01,” the Brevard County Brevard County Fire Rescue said in its announcement. “After 10 weeks of orientation, Brevard County Fire Rescue graduates a new class of firefighters and paramedics who are eager and ready to proudly serve our community.”

Intensive Preparation for Frontline Service
The 10-week orientation period is designed to prepare new firefighters and paramedics for the demands of the job before they are assigned to stations across the county.
During the training, recruits learn departmental procedures, emergency response protocols, equipment operations and teamwork required to operate effectively in high-stress emergency situations.
Firefighters in the program are also trained in emergency medical care, hazardous incident response, fire suppression techniques and rescue operations, ensuring they are ready to respond to a wide range of calls.

Strengthening Public Safety
The addition of Recruit Class 26-01 helps strengthen staffing levels across the county’s fire stations and enhances the department’s ability to respond quickly to emergencies ranging from structure fires and vehicle crashes to medical calls and natural disasters.
With Brevard County continuing to grow, officials say bringing new firefighters and paramedics into service is critical to maintaining rapid emergency response and protecting residents and visitors.
As the graduates transition from training to active duty, they will begin working alongside veteran firefighters and paramedics throughout the county.
Department leaders said the new recruits represent the next generation of emergency responders committed to protecting lives and property.
“These men and women are ready to serve,” the department noted, emphasizing the pride and responsibility that comes with wearing the Brevard County Fire Rescue uniform.
