WATCH: Orlando Melbourne International Airport reopened Thursday after an early-morning security breach, Melbourne police said. Orlando Melbourne airport officials said that a 22-year-old man with a pilot’s license breached airport security and boarded a full-size passenger American Airlines jet that was undergoing maintenance.

BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA (WFTV) – Orlando Melbourne International Airport reopened Thursday after an early-morning security breach, Melbourne police said.

Orlando Melbourne airport officials said that a 22-year-old man with a pilot’s license breached airport security and boarded a full-size passenger American Airlines jet that was undergoing maintenance.

Officials initially reported that he was 26 years old.

The man parked his car outside the terminal and left it running, police said. He then ran through the grass and jumped the barbed-wired fence to gain access, officials said.
