Brevard County Sheriff’s GAMEOVER Task Force Nails Escaped Inmate Daniel Amoroso in West Melbourne

ESCAPE VEHICLE RECOVERED IN ORANGE COUNTY
BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Escaped inmate Daniel Amoroso was taken into custody by the Brevard County Sheriff’s GAMEOVER Task Force early Thursday at the Budget Inn motel in West Melbourne.
The Brevard County Sheriff’s Office was searching for Amoroso, 58, who fled late Tuesday evening from his assignment as a trustee at the Sheriff’s Office Fleet Maintenance Building on Camp Road.
According to Brevard County Sheriff’s Office PIO Tod Goodyear, Amoroso took an unmarked Chevy Impala from the facility which was recovered Wednesday morning in Orange County.
Amoroso was being held at the Brevard County Jail for a charge of FTA reference Grand Theft. He also had a hold for Broward County reference a pending FTA on a Grand Theft Charge.
Amoroso now faces additional charges of Escape and Grand Theft of a Motor Vehicle.
