BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – The Eastern Florida State College women’s soccer team blanked Laramie County Community College 4-0 on a cold, wet evening in Foley, Alabama.

The Titans scored three times in the first half and added another in the second half to win their NJCAA Division I National Championship Tournament Pool D game.

Cristina Garriga got things started early, scoring nine minutes into the game for her 12th goal of the season. Teammate Keli Lindquist made it 2-0 on an assist from Klesha Darroux. Lindquist scored her second goal of the game in the second half.

Sophomore Ebony Wiseman also had a nice goal in the win as the Titans improved to 15-2-1 on the season.

“It was a must-win because if Laramie had won they would have advanced, so now hopefully we can take care of business against a very good Arizona Western team. They will be motivated, so we know we have to do a good job again on Wednesday,” Eastern Florida State College women’s soccer coach Jeff Carr said.

“Hopefully we rest up tonight and come back strong again tomorrow.”

Eastern Florida State College will play No. 4 seed Arizona Western at 6:30 p.m. EST on Wednesday for a spot in the semifinals. Arizona Western lost to Laramie County 3-1 on Monday evening.
