Melbourne Police responded to a deadly crash on A1A in Melbourne that involved a pedestrian over the weekend.

BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – Melbourne Police responded to a deadly crash on A1A in Melbourne that involved a pedestrian over the weekend.

Police say the victim who was killed on Saturday has been identified 51-year-old Stephanie Marie Delli from Sebastian.

Officers were called to the scene around 9:39 p.m. about a report of crash involving a pedestrian on A1A just south of Eau Gallie Blvd.

When police officers arrived, they found Delli had been struck by a vehicle when she tried to cross the road but was hit by a vehicle heading southbound on A1A.

Delli later died at Holmes Regional from her injuries.

The driver of the vehicle is identified as Eric R Petersen, 48, from Indian Harbor Beach.

Authorities are investigating the crash as a Traffic Homicide and seeking any witnesses or video pertaining to this crash.
