Brevard County Fire Rescue and Canaveral Fire unit were the scene of a residential structure fire in the 600 block Heatherstone Drive on Merritt Island. An exterior fire appears to have minor extension into the home and the attic space.

BREVARD COUNTY • MERRITT ISLAND, FLORIDA – Brevard County Fire Rescue and Canaveral Fire unit were on the scene of a residential structure fire in the 600 block Heatherstone Drive on Merritt Island.

An exterior fire appears to have minor extension into the home and the attic space.

The one occupant that was home at the time made it out safely with no injuries.

A Brevard County Fire Rescue fire investigator is on scene.
