BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – With the rise of dietary restrictions and food preferences, some restaurants have taken notice and have shifted their menus to accommodate those requests.

While you may prefer a vegan menu, vegetarian, gluten-free, dairy-free, or all things free menu (that last one was a joke!), there are restaurants on Florida’s Space Coast ready to serve you!

For this article, we will be looking at some of the restaurants that have vegan or vegetarian menus, but if you’re looking for gluten-free options, we have those too here.

Now the core difference between a vegan and vegetarian is that vegans eat no animal products. Vegetarians don’t eat animals, but may eat products that come from them such as eggs and dairy.

There are some restaurants on Florida’s Space Coast dedicated to serving a vegan/vegetarian menu only, and there are some restaurants that have options on their all-inclusive menu.

Here’s a look at some of the vegan and vegetarian restaurants on Florida’s Space Coast:

Paisley Vegan Kitchen
630 Brevard Avenue, Cocoa | (321) 305-5767

Located in Cocoa Village about 10 minutes from Cocoa Beach, Paisley Vegan Kitchen is committed to delivering quality options.

The whole menu is made from scratch, using only the freshest ingredients available in a dedicated vegan kitchen. The menu is rather extensive and includes starters, salads, sandwiches, and entrees like quinoa bowls, vegan mac and cheese, lasagna, tacos and falafel waffle.

The menu may have seasonally additions, and hours of operation are 12 p.m. to 8 p.m. daily except they are closed on Tuesday.

This organic eatery in downtown Cocoa Beach is a local favorite that has vegetarian and vegan choices. The Green Room Café has an extensive menu that offers sandwiches, smoothies, salads, soup and even a kids’ menu.

The Ruebio sandwich includes seasoned tofu, sauerkraut, swiss cheese, cucumber and thousand island dressing on rye bread.

Other menu items include salads, wraps with tofu, vegan chili, and Green Room Bowls, which mostly consist of acai and fruit. Take a look at the menu here.

Take a bite out of the Baton Rouge Beets or the vegan optional pot stickers. Not to mention the vegan optional Nachos Nomad or Vegan Crab Cakes made with chickpeas and kelp cakes over couscous and local veggies. Open for lunch and dinner Tuesday through Saturday, closed Sunday and Monday.
