BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Space Coast Daily Meteorologist Chris Bonanno looks at Brevard’s Wednesday weather and discusses tropical activity in the Gulf of Mexico.
A broad low-pressure area located over the Florida Panhandle and the far northeastern Gulf of Mexico is producing widespread but disorganized showers and thunderstorms.
Environmental conditions are conducive for development, and a tropical depression is expected to form late Wednesday or Thursday while the low moves slowly westward across the northern Gulf of Mexico.
BREVARD COUNTY WORK WEEK AND WEEKEND WEATHER FORECAST:
Wednesday: Showers and thunderstorms likely, mainly after 4 pm. Partly sunny, with a high near 90. South wind 5 to 15 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New rainfall amounts of less than a tenth of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.
Wednesday Night: Showers and thunderstorms likely, mainly before 8 pm. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 73. South wind around 5 mph becoming calm in the evening. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.
