Four-Year-Old Meets With Titusville Police Officers Who Saved Him From Near Drowning

BREVARD COUNTY • TITUSVILLE, FLORIDA – Drowning survivor, 4-year-old Fletcher Moon, got to meet with the Titusville police officers who responded and assisted in resuscitating him during a recent near-fatal drowning incident on the afternoon of July 30.
Titusville Police Sergeant Paul Heineman, Officer Wes Byrge, Officer Brandon Soto and Officer Scott Andrews responded to a report of a drowning at a residence on Dahlia Avenue.
Police said that Fletcher had been with friends and family and unknowingly entered the pool and was found lifeless at the bottom of the pool by his mother.
Titusville Police 911 PST Dispatcher Lori Cunningham guided his parents as they began CPR on their son, which continued until Titusville Fire Department arrived on scene and took over lifesaving actions.
Fletcher was transported to a local children’s hospital and remained in the ICU unit for two days.
Fortunately, Fletcher has since fully recovered and was anxious to meet with the first responders who helped save his life. Officers then gave him a full tour of the police facility.
