Davidson encourages everyone to take the appropriate precautions and stay safe

Due to the latest path projections of Hurricane Dorian, Chief Judge Lisa Davidson has canceled court proceedings in Brevard and Seminole Counties on Tuesday, September 3 and Wednesday, September 4.

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Due to the latest path projections of Hurricane Dorian, Chief Judge Lisa Davidson has canceled court proceedings in Brevard and Seminole Counties on Tuesday, September 3 and Wednesday, September 4.

“Realizing a number of employees, attorneys, and jurors will have evacuated, together with the uncertainty of road conditions and extent of power outages, I have made the decision to cancel court proceedings through Wednesday,” said Davidson.

Initial appearances and other mandatory court proceedings will be held at the jail. In Seminole County, initial appearances will be held at 9 a.m. on Tuesday and Wednesday mornings, September 3 and 4.

In Brevard County, initial appearances will begin at 8:45 a.m. on Tuesday, September 3. Start time for Wednesday to be announced.
