TENNISON WILL PLAY FOR THE TIGERS IN THE SEC
BREVARD COUNTY • ROCKLEDGE, FLORIDA – Ladarius Tennison of the Rockledge Raiders announced Saturday he will attend Auburn University and play football for the Tigers in the Southeastern Conference.
Tennison, a one-time Miami commit who reopened his recruitment last month, is rated as the nation’s No. 5 athlete, according to the 247Sports Composite rankings, but he is projected to play defensive back at Auburn.
Tennison selected Auburn over Florida, Miami and North Carolina.
Tennison is the most dominant two-way player on the Space Coast and was selected as the 2018 Space Coast Daily–Friday Night Locker Room Player of the Year.
Tennison, at 5-feet 10-inches tall and weighing in at 205-pounds, has left college coaches, fans and opposing players in awe.
An outstanding two-way player, Tennison’s stats are impressive on both sides of the football.
In the Raiders backfield in 2018, Tennison finished with 1,055 yards and 12 rushing touchdowns and he also led the Raiders in receiving yards, adding five more receiving touchdowns.
During the 2018 season, Tennison recorded 124 total tackles, including 93 solo, 10 sacks and he led Florida with 38 tackles for a loss.
He ranked at the top of Class 5A in every major defensive category with the word tackle involved.
Tennison forced four fumbles and had one interception, which he returned for a touchdown. He also blocked four kicks and returned a punt for a touchdown.
Tennison was the catalyst in 2018 for the Raiders, as Rockledge finished ranked No.1 in the Space Coast Daily–Friday Night Locker Room poll.
