Cocoa Tigers boys 400 free relay finished in 3:17.55, a new Cape Coast Conference record
SPACE COAST DAILY TV: The Cocoa High boy’s 400 free relay team of Garrett Cone, Roman Quattrocchi, Freddie Cole and Casey Cole smoked the competition during last week’s Cape Coast Conference Swimming Championships held at Cocoa Beach Country Club.
BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – The Cocoa High boy’s 400 free relay team of Garrett Cone, Roman Quattrocchi, Freddie Cole and Casey Cole smoked the competition during last week’s Cape Coast Conference Swimming Championships held at Cocoa Beach Aquatic Center.
The Tiger quartet finished with a time of 3:17.55, which is a new Cape Coast Conference record.
The Cocoa High boys swim team captured second overall with 262 points as Titusville finished first with 346 points.
Last season the Cocoa boy’s swim team finished fifth at Cape Coast Conference.
Cone, Quattrocchi and the Cole brothers are part of the Rocoa Rockets year-round swim team coached by Mitzi Kremer, head coach of the Cocoa Tigers.
Six years ago, the Cocoa Tigers boy’s team finished 13th place in the Cape Coast Conference and are now looking to finish as one of the top teams in the region.
Cone and Freddie Cole are seniors and both individually made it to state competition last season. Garrett Cone placed seventh in the 200 free as a junior last season.
Quattrocchi made it to state competition as a freshman last season.
District action will take place on October 25 at Cocoa Beach Country Club.
