Brevard County Firefighters Battle House Fire on Papaya Street in Canaveral Groves

Crews responded to a fire on the 4600 block of Papaya Street just before 10 p.m. on Tuesday evening

Brevard County Fire Rescue personnel responded to a report of a house fire on the 4600 block of Papaya Street on Tuesday evening.

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Personnel from Brevard County Fire Rescue along with Cocoa Fire Department and Four Communities Volunteer Fire Department responded to a report of a structure fire at a two-story home on the 4600 block of Papaya Street in Canaveral Groves on Tuesday evening, according to a tweet from BCFR.

BCFR added that when they arrived, flames were shooting through the roof.

The agency says it first responded to the fire just before 10 p.m.

Crews also noted that they were able to locate a missing dog on the second floor of the home.
