Former Cocoa Tiger Javian Hawkins Shines in Louisville’s First Bowl Win Since 2015

BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – Two former Brevard County High School football standouts contributed to Louisville’s first bowl victory in four years on Monday.

Louisville surged past Mississippi State 38-28 to win the 2019 Music City Bowl in Nashville.

Former Cocoa Tigers RB Javian Hawkins was great this year in his first year competing in college football after he redshirted last year.

The redshirt-freshman put up the 5th most rushing yards (1,525 yds) in the nation followed by 9 rush touchdowns.

Hawkins certainly came to play against their SEC opponent Mississippi State, putting up (105 rush yards, 1 touchdown) Monday night in the Music City Bowl.

Former Rockledge Raider RB Jalen Mitchell was also apart of the Louisville team, despite in redshirting this season.
