86 year-old female died following the crash

Cocoa police traffic homicide investigators continue to investigate a three-car fatal crash that occurred at midday Tuesday near Cocoa Village. An 86 year-old female in one of the vehicles died following the crash.

BREVARD COUNTY • COCOA, FLORIDA – Cocoa police traffic homicide investigators continue to investigate a three-car fatal crash that occurred at midday Tuesday near Cocoa Village.

According to Cocoa police officials, an 86 year-old female in one of the vehicles died following the crash.

One other person was treated and released from the hospital.

The crash occurred just after 12 noon at the intersection of State Road 520 and Brevard Avenue and involved a Nissan Titan truck, a Honda CR-V and a 4 door Chevy sedan.

The eastbound lanes of State Road 520 were shut down for several hours.

Investigators are continuing to interview witnesses and review all available video in order to determine the at-fault driver and the circumstances that led to the crash.
