Weather Report Shows 40-Percent ‘Go’ for Friday’s Rocket Launch from Cape Canaveral

BREVARD COUNTY • CAPE CANAVERAL, FLORIDA – With another rocket launch slated for Friday, the 45th Weather Squadron has given a 40-percent chance for liftoff on Friday due to “liftoff winds, the Cumulus Cloud Rule and Disturbed Weather Rule.”

The SpaceX rocket launch will launch from Cape Canaveral Air Force Station with liftoff scheduled for 10:24 p.m. ET

The Falcon 9 rocket will be carrying the Starlink 2 that includes approximately 60 satellites for SpaceX’s Starlink broadband network.

SpaceX will attempt to recover the first stage booster engine shortly after liftoff on a drone ship ‘Of Course I Still Love You’ stationed in the Atlantic.
