Eastern Florida’s Katelyn Wilfer and Jonathan Ned Named Student-Athletes of the Week

BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – Eastern Florida State College’s Katelyn Wilfert and Jonathan Ned are the Orlando Health Student-Athletes of the Week for the week ending Feb. 16.

Softball pitcher Katelyn Wilfert had a big week on the mound for the Titans as the sophomore picked up four wins.

The Meridian, Idaho native had two shutouts, struck out 12 and walked three in 20 2/3 innings.

Men’s basketball player Jonathan Ned hit over 50 percent of his 3-pointers in the two games, hitting four 3-pointers in each game for the Titans.

The sophomore guard from Brentwood, California averaged 19 points per game and had a season-best 21 points in the final regular-season home game for the Titans.

The men’s basketball team wraps up the regular season Wednesday night, traveling to Santa Fe for a 7 p.m. Mid-Florida Conference game.

The softball team will travel to Santa Fe College Thursday for a doubleheader beginning at 2 p.m.
