Awards of Distinction recognize entries that meet high standards of excellence

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Abby Hemenway of the Space Coast Chapter of the Florida Public Relations Association (SCFPRA) was presented with an Image Award for excellence in public relations programming and projects during a virtual video presentation.

Hemenway, SCFPRA VP of Communications and Public Involvement Officer for the Space Coast Transportation Planning Organization, received both an Award of Distinction and the Judges’ Award for her submission of the SCTPO’s 2019 Public Participation Plan.

Awards of Distinction recognize entries that meet standards of excellence set by the judges that demonstrate superior performance.

Judges Awards recognize outstanding entries that achieve maximum results while using a limited budget.

The 2019 Public Participation Plan is a blueprint for action to involve and engage the public in transportation planning.

The plan provides a guide for public access to and involvement with the SCTPO planning process.
