City of Palm Bay Announces Rental & Utility Assistance Program For Those Affected by COVID-19

BREVARD COUNTY • PALM BAY, FLORIDA – In response to the challenges that Palm Bay residents are facing during COVID-19, the City has implemented an Eviction Prevention/Rental and Utility Assistance Program.
The program is designed to provide temporary assistance to eligible Palm Bay residents who have become delinquent on rent and/or utilities payments due to the impacts of COVID-19.
Residents seeking assistance will be required to complete and submit the Prescreening Questionnaire to determine preliminary eligibility.
The Prescreening Questionnaire is available on the City’s Housing & Community Development website at www.palmbayflorida.org/assistance. Residents can also access the Questionnaire in paper form at the main entrance of City Hall located on Malabar Road.
Residents without access to the online questionnaire or paper form, can contact the Housing & Community Development Division at 321-726-5615 or HCDinfo@palmbayflorida.org to answer prescreening questions to determine preliminary eligibility.
The City will accept applications through June 30, 2020 or until funding is expended, whichever occurs first.
City staff will respond to each inquiry within 7-10 business days regarding tentative eligibility.
All eligible inquiries will be sent an application to complete and submit to the City with the required documentation under the Eviction Prevention/Rental & Utility Assistance Program.
The program will be administered by the City’s Housing and Community Development Division.
