BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – The Melbourne Police Department joined city leaders and residents at the Eddie Lee Taylor Sr. Community Center in Melbourne for Miss Dot Linson’s annual Thanksgiving Community Luncheon.

This beloved tradition has strengthened community ties for more than 25 years.

The event, hosted in partnership with the City of Melbourne and the Parks, Recreation, and Golf Department, at 3316 S. Monroe Street in Melbourne, once again showcased Miss Dot’s remarkable dedication to serving others.

Each year, Miss Dot prepares a full Thanksgiving meal with care and hospitality, welcoming hundreds of guests to share in a warm and welcoming atmosphere.

Her efforts, supported by a loyal team of volunteers, have made this luncheon one of the city’s most cherished holiday gatherings.

Chief Gillespie and members of the Community Services Division were honored to take part, noting that the luncheon is among the department’s most meaningful annual engagements.

Community leaders praised Miss Dot’s unwavering commitment to service, emphasizing the positive impact her leadership has had on generations of Melbourne residents. Her dedication continues to inspire others and remains a shining example of compassion in action.
