Melbourne Police Bust Five Suspects During Undercover Drug Deal Operation

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Melbourne Police arrested five suspects during a street level drug operation on Wednesday that was conducted in the area of the University Food Mart on the 600 block of E. University Blvd. and the University Boulevard corridor.

The proactive drug enforcement operation resulted in detectives seizing 1.1 grams of cocaine, 3 oxycodone pills, 22 grams of cannabis, and items of drug paraphernalia.

One vehicle was also impounded to obtain a search warrant with one of the other ongoing investigations.

The suspects arrested in the overall operation are as follows:

Fredstern Gray, 38, charged with Possession of oxycodone
Azalea King, 36, charged Possession of Cocaine and Possession of Cannabis
Irving Thomas, Jr., 56, charged with Possession of Cocaine
Cecil Smart, 31, charged with Open Container of Alcohol and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
Carlos Vincente Abad, charged with Driving While License Suspended with Knowledge and Violation of Probation
