BREVARD COUNTY • CAPE CANAVERAL, FLORIDA – SpaceX has scheduled a Falcon 9 rocket launch (Starlink 7 mission) from Cape Canaveral for Sunday, May 17.

The announcement means the Space Coast will have two rocket launches within 24-hours as United Launch Alliance (ULA) will also be launching their Atlas V rocket Saturday morning from Cape Canaveral.

The launch for Sunday’s SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket is targeted for 3:53 a.m. ET.

ULA’s rocket launch window this Saturday opens at 8 a.m. and closes at 10:30 a.m. ET

On May 27, astronauts will once again launch from Florida’s Space Coast as SpaceX sends astronauts Robert Behnken and Douglas Hurley on the first Crew Dragon (Demo-2) to the International Space Station.

It will be the first-manned spaceflight from the Space Coast since 2011 when the Shuttle program ended.

Launch window for the May 27 launch is set for 4:33 p.m. ET.
